2009 Recipients of the Provost's Award for Outstanding Graduate Faculty Mentor

Congratulations to Dr. Hilkka Kenttämaa (Chemistry) and Dr. Henry Weiner (Biochemistry), they are the 2009 recipients of the Provost's Award for Outstanding Graduate Faculty Mentor!

Professors Kenttämaa and Weiner will be honored at two ceremonies, the University Honors Convocation on April 19th and a more intimate banquet to be held later this Spring.

To be selected was no small feat. There were eight nominees, chosen by the schools/colleges as the top candidates to receive the award. And among this excellent group, Professors Kenttämaa and Weiner were selected. The selection committee, consisting of 6 faculty members and 6 graduate students, represented the areas of behavioral sciences, the chemistry-based sciences, engineering and physical sciences, humanities and social sciences, life sciences, and management sciences.
