All students admitted to PULSe receive paid tuition and an assistantship for the duration of study, given solid academic standing and lab performance. The entire first year of funding allows students to complete core requirements and participate in laboratory rotations.

Financial support for students in subsequent years comes from training grants, research grants secured by the major professor, or research and/or teaching assistantships. The level of support in subsequent years will meet or exceed the level of support provided in the student's first year.
