To emphasize the importance of graduate students attending and participating in scientific meetings, the PULSe Program will hold a Travel Award Competition twice per academic year (both fall and spring semesters) for students presenting at professional meetings. The fall semester deadline is October 15 and the spring semester deadline is April 15.
PULSe Student Travel Award Allocations: Fall Deadline: October 15 Spring Deadline: April 15
Awards will range from $150 to $500. $2500 is the maximum amount that will be allocated in the fall and again the spring. Award allocations will be based on the estimated need stated on the travel form, level of participation in the professional event, travel distance, and contributions to the PULSe Program.
Training Groups are topic-oriented research groups consisting of faculty from multiple departments.
Training groups are an administrative home for PULSe students, a student choice that impacts
curriculum and research training activities.
